Giants should CUT Jaxson Dart! "GTFOH WOKE MEDIA"! Adam Silver DELUSIONAL!
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The uproar from the WOKE Media is insane regarding NY Giants QB Jaxson Dart introducing the POTUS at a recent event! The double standard is pathetic and this is a non-issue if teammates feelings were kept in-house.

We're powered by our wonderful friends over at uh Fresh Roasted Coffee on this Thursday. Hope everyone had a wonderful Sports Wednesday. You're enjoying your 28th of May, 2026. A lot to get into. I feel as though the NBA certainly taken center stage. You've got game six of the Western Conference Finals tonight. Adam Silver talks about the officiating, which he's friggin' delusional. Did he put an end to tanking? We will get into that. Also, the nonsense that is the New York football giants and once again the friggin' woke media. Now, Jackson Dart, Abdul Carter, we're going to address that. I got to get into the JJ McCarthy comment as well with Kyler Murray. I mean, you want to talk about the disconnect going on there with those quarterbacks in Minnesota. I might start to show up by telling you Kyle Murray already won the starting job. But as I mentioned, game six, NBA uh Western Conference Finals tonight, OKC San Antonio, OKC looking to close out the Spurs. And I have a feeling because the game shifts, the scenery shifts back to San Antonio. And you had Wemby not addressing the media the other day, and people were going nuts when I posted the clip and I gave you my thoughts, and everyone was saying he's human, he doesn't have to address the media. Like hell, he doesn't have to address the media. It's mandatory. You score 33, you're up there smiling and having a good time. No problem. You go 4-15, you take the L, and you only score 18-20 points, and now you got a problem with the media. Look, we know about the flipping, we know about the flopping. And Adam Silver earlier today talked about the flopping and potentially using AI to help NBA referees with some calls. So we're really going to take the human element out of everything, right? And you know, he went on, I guess it was McAfee's show or whatever, the talking head show, and said that there's a difference between selling a call, exaggeration, and a true flop. Officials can be fooled sometimes, but our officiating is incredible. Hold on, that's jumbo shrimp. You can't have it both ways. So a difference between selling a call, which every great NBA player throughout the history of the game has done, exaggerating is in essence selling the call to some extent, and then a true flop. So are we going to just say SGA is the epitome, the definition of a true flop? But then for Adam Silver to almost double down and say the officials can be fooled, well, you're admitting right there that the players are getting away with it and the officials aren't catching it. And in the same breath, you turn around and say the officiating is incredible. You can't be a little pregnant. So I don't know. Like, again, you listen to what Adam Silver says, he's a goofy commissioner. I mean, he really is. It is prominent, it is pronounced, isn't an issue in the NBA. Yes, it's a conversation. Yes, it is a talking point. Yes, it's a hot button topic. Absolutely. Part of me is like, damn, I don't want to see OKC in the finals because I know the calls are going to go their way against the Knicks. And SGA is going to flip, flop, flop, flop, flop. And I'll be a hypocrite. I can't push the goalpost back because I usually say you have to fight through that. But it's becoming increasingly hard to draw that line when you talk about the selling, the flopping, and the exaggeration, especially with some of these players. Brunson does it. Harden doesn't. I mean, we know that. SGA does it. Wemby's been doing it. Luca's done it. Joker's done. Players, LeBron, player, Harden, they flop. We've seen it. So we know that SGA, you know, the narrative is he does it way too much, but the counter is he, you know, he walks that fine line, right? But I can tell you this, there are plenty of other players across the other 29 teams that do it in a variety of degrees. I mean, hell, Reggie Miller used to do the late kick and sell it and get the call. And I don't like the fact Silva's talking about speeding up the replay process and the game flow using that Hawkeye technology, right? AI to handle inbounds and out-of-bounds calls. I mean, that's why you pay the refs and you got the monitor. You got extra eyeballs, do you not? So now I'm going to trust the AI, the automatic system, the camera lined up across the look, I think it's a little more complex in the NBA, right? The ball can go out of bounds, and you've got, you know, a player's hands under the basket, everyone's going for that rebound. Now, is AI going to quickly determine whose hand that it touched, whose paw that it touched? I don't think it's a straightforward process. Now, if you want to sit there and say, okay, well, it's going in the right direction, the NBA officiating has been brutal. It has been bad for years. It's always been that issue. We talked about it Monday, we talked about it Tuesday, and we talked about it yesterday on the air. The NBA has always had an officiating problem. This is not, this is nothing new. This is nothing new. So train these guys better, punish these guys better, suspend these guys, have certain crews work certain playoff series in the NBA finals. Hit them in the pocket, reward them when they actually do well. Like there's got to be a level of consistency. Let's not reinvent the wheel here. So yeah, I would venture to guess you're going to see SGA get to the line 10 to 12 times tonight. Or maybe you don't because it's in San Antonio. And it's always about the makeup calls. It doesn't matter what level, there's always makeup calls in the NBA. And for Wemby to come out and not address the media, that tells me that San Antonio knows they're friggin' cooked. They know that. They're laying three and a half. The Thunder can close them out. The Thunder are done playing with their food. They won the last three out of four in this series. I mean, think about it. They they they lose game one, they come back, they lose game two and three. And those games, you know, they pulled away. Game three was not competitive. Okay, you stubbed your toe in game two, but then you bounce back and you pull away, and you have role players making big plays in game four. Um, pardon me, game five. They're just too good. They're too deep. They're too deep of a team. Now, the other interesting news come out regarding the NBA today is perhaps an end to tanking. Now, we've talked about this, I don't know how many years, but the NBA Board of Governors has passed a new anti-tanking rule that include expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams, regulation zone, where the bottom three teams get penalized with lessened chances for the number one pick and flattened odds according to the mothership. So now let's just kind of go back for a second. If you are a fan of Indiana, if you are a fan of Utah, Sacramento, you're like, oh man, this sucks, right? Because those three, fourteens were one of the worst teams in the NBA. The NBA has always had this problem when it comes to tanking. And again, it always started with pop and the load management, and then it manifested itself from there. Players get nicked up, players don't want to play back to back. You put a bad product out on the court, you're not going to win many basketball games. I don't know if this REM's it. I really don't. I honestly, I really don't know. The NBA is a watered-down product. You've got four or five really good teams, maybe one or two great teams. But now you're talking about a radical draft lottery reform because they realize they want to put the best product on the floor. Well, to eliminate that, also eliminate the load management. Start penalizing some of these teams. Some of these players don't just don't feel like playing. NFL is different. It's a collision sport. It's so violent. 17, 18 weeks plus the playoffs. I mean, it's a war of attrition. I know the NBA season is long. I get it. But it's not like these guys are flying coach. It's not like these guys are getting peanuts and a diet soda on the flight. It's not like they're sitting or they're sleeping at a, you know, uh, uh, uh a rent by the hour hotel. They're not private jets, chefs, food, trainers, best hotels. They're doing okay. And I'm not saying that's not the case with the NFL, but it's such a violent physical sport. You got guys crashing into each other every single solitary play. There's more wear and tear. Guys are going to get, they're more prone to injuries. You want to cut down the season in the NBA? Cut down the season in the NBA. That's fine. Start the season later. That's fine. Season ends in June. All of a sudden we're breaking for camp in August, September, season starts in October. So to me, the move coming out today, that's kind of a radical response by the NBA, right? That's radical behavior. Because there were eight to ten teams that were jocking for lottery odds down the stretch of the season. So now you got a 3-2-1 lottery system that'll take place next strat, remain in place through at least 2029. You don't want to reward teams for putting out a bad product, but someone aren't intentionally doing it. I don't believe so. The Sixers set the the uh, I guess you should say the bar very high or very low because of Hankey. And the trash, the nonsense that they put out on the floor, which was an embarrassment to the game of basketball. It was an embarrassment. I mean, it really was. It was it was utterly ridiculous. Yeah, Brett Bryan 2013, 2014, right? After Doug Collins in 2012, 2013, yeah, Tony DeLeo. They fire both of them. They bring in Hinky, you bring in Brown, who had no idea what the hell he was doing. He wanted to go stall hunting. You go 19 and what? 63. The very next season, you're worse. You win 18 games, and the very next season, which was an abomination, it's so bad you're forced to fire Brown. You bring in the um Jackass's Calangelo, Jerry and Brian with the burner phone, and you only win 10 games. And the NBA was like, enough is enough. This is really bad. So it's just it's not the best product. So it's hard to gauge it. Now, I'm not gonna, I won't take away from these good teams, these great teams, and some of these great players, but there's only a handful of them. There's only a handful of these great players and these great teams. Is it radical? Yeah. Do I think it stops tanking? No, I don't. And I'm I'm so I am beyond fascinated to see how this game is gonna get called because I found a fan base that's more sensitive than Philly fans. The San Antonio Spurs fan base. Oh my god. I I mean, you want to talk about a friggin' absolutely sensitive fan base. Oh I I was absolutely I was absolutely shocked how sensitive some of you guys are listening in the other day, going back and forth with me. Oh my god. You're gonna cry every single solitary call that doesn't go your way? Stop turning the basketball over 20-something odd times. And and like I said, look, SGA is a great player, but enough is enough. Enough is enough. Like he finished fourth in free throw attempts per game on a team that was 17th. It's just magnified because you got the talking heads of talking media, these so-called, you know, talking uh basketball experts that don't know ball that magnify and they harp on it and harp on it and harp on it. And nobody wants to see the thunder in the finals except the Thunder fan. Well, you got an opportunity to go back to back. That's a rarity. That is a rarity. So again, I think ultimately, you know, the flop in, you're never gonna put an end to it. You can contain it. And with the tanking, it might even be an overreaction. I listen, if if I'm a team and I struggle and I've got young players and they're green, and I don't really have any vets on the team, and I'm playing first, second year guys, I'm expected to struggle, man. Why should I get penalized for that? I'm playing these guys, we're giving you an honest effort. The other thing is this teams are gonna have little incentive to trade picks, which in turn does what? It leads to bad teams staying shitty, staying bad. So it's like, you know, you're just recycling. You're recycling the product, that's all you're doing. Madman chimes in. Looky looky, I don't know where he was, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Uh, NBA is horrible. Any titles after 2008 are meaningless. Is why is 2008 the barometer? Where are we going with that? Uh, speaking of big news coming down, too, right? How about MLB? Major League Baseball has proposed a hard salary. Never gonna fly. Uh, we'll talk a little more about that later on, or maybe tomorrow. So you got a lot of the NBA. We got to get into that. Uh game six tonight. I I think the Spurs are cooked. And then the the other story, which is nonsense, which is utter nonsense, the fact that Jackson Dart had to come out and have a powwow with his teammates. Why? Because once again, the woke media wins. They get all up in arms. All up in arms because Jackson Dart, franchise quarterback of the New York football Giants, decides I'm gonna introduce the president of the United States. I couldn't believe how many people were commenting the other day when we were talking about this on the air. I could not believe just, you know, and it's bad enough. You listen to a guy like Boomer, you listen to, you know, that goofball with the Levitard show that is beyond angry. Beyond angry. And the the one thing is how is this leaked? You know, who leaked this from the giant camp? What player leaked this is number one. And the fact that he had to go and he had addressed his teammates in a meeting because he introduced the president at a political rally last night in New York. I I just and the media, they make it more than it has to be. Like, I get it. If if if Abdul Carter never ever tweeted what he tweeted, is there really that much blowback? Seriously? I don't even know. And again, I'm not gonna speculate. I saw reports he wasn't present for the team meeting. I think there was a family obligation. Do with that as you as you will. But the woke meeting, again, they they they it's the cancel culture. You know, all of a sudden now get rid of this kid, cut him, release him, he's done, he's finished, and his jersey sales went up exponentially. There, there is such a double standard, and I'm not saying it because I'm a giant fan, and this has nothing to do with what side of the fence I might hang my hat on. There is a double standard, period. Like you can't tell me there isn't, because there is, and that's what annoys me. And do I like how Boomer Syson went after Abdul Carter? No. Do I like that that kid, uh Mike Ryan, whatever the hell his name is, went back at Boomer and you know, almost like in a volatile tone? No. But it's blown out of proportion, this story. Like the last time I checked, did LeBron James have a team meeting when he spoke at uh Hillary Clinton rally? No. Did anyone have an issue with Steph Curry when he uh spoke at the DNC? No, he didn't have to address teammates or Steve Kerr, what his thoughts and political um comments and stances? No, nobody did. But you got all the talking heads going back and forth and the cackle, cackle, cackle, all of a sudden you got to cancel Jackson Dart. Your political uh views are your political views. It's a free country, it's a free country. It really is. Like we we have to just go back and recognize that. But now all of a sudden we want to dig and dig and dig. Do I like that Abdul Carter went on social media because it is a prisoner of the moment? I gotta be first. Let me see what the hell's going on, and then tweet it. I hope this is AI, you know, blah, blah, blah. And then when it's not, all of a sudden he deletes it and then he walks it back and says, we handled it like men. Stop pushing your narrative. The problem I have, the issue is you didn't have to throw your teammate under the bus like that. Call him up. And it's squashed. But obviously, there will be some out there in the media, in the woke media, that'll make it more than it has to be. Because that's what we do. That's what we do. And I feel as though, like I said yesterday, a lot of guys they they wanted my comments on. I just think it's hypocrisy. Like, I'm not going to tell you, I don't, I don't talk politics on my show. I've never done that. But we will go down the rabbit hole and we will have conversations. Like Dan Levitard, who I used to really enjoy and respect. I don't know what the hell happened to Dan Levitard. I I really don't. I honestly, I don't. And the problem is what people don't want to hear is that at the end of the day, come a Sunday, when guys are in the huddle, they're not looking at their quarterback saying, I'm not going to block for this guy because he introduced a president of the United States. Receivers not saying I'm going to run a hard route because this guy supports Trump. They're all all they're caring about is wins and losses. That's it. I said this yesterday. I don't care. As long as you're not hurting anyone, if you're not being like a jackass like Josh Jacobs, now that's a story. Where are the uh uh the Hills of the world and the Achos of the world on the Jacobs story? But you come out and you want to you want to crucify Jackson Dart. Like, what are we doing? The hypocrisy, that's the problem I have. When we sit there and say, handle it like men, then don't go on social media, pick up the phone, text, say, hey, can we have a conversation, an intelligent conversation, an adult conversation for this kid to have to address the media or his teammates is ludicrous. And that's the problem I have with Levitard. Like you're sitting there saying the New York media, which is tough. The New York media has always been tough and sometimes too much. Okay? Too much at times. And they go after athletes, they go after head coaches, they hold them accountable. They don't need to hold this kid accountable. They don't even need, they don't even need to hold Carter accountable for tweeting out something, which it at the end of the day, probably someone told them it wasn't the right route to go. But you don't need to ask uncomfortable questions. And the problem I have with a guy like uh Levitar that has totally just uh went the opposite end over the last several years. It's like, whoa, what well, hold on a second. You want to have an you want the New York media to have an uncomfortable conversation? That's the new catchphrase. Let's have an uncomfortable conversation. We're not ready for that, you know, and and and go after Jackson Dart and hold Jackson Dart accountable. Okay, but yet, but yet you refuse to talk about your friend, Dana Roussini, because that was uncomfortable. You can't have it both ways, man. You can't. You're a friggin' hypocrite. You cannot have it both ways because all of a sudden she's your friend and she she's a uh a contributor to the show, and you knew exactly probably what the hell was going on. Cheating on her husband, doing it with a NFL head coach and leaking information, but there's no issue there. I that's that's my whole problem. That is my whole problem. And it's like we're supposed to be able to sit here and yet we go back and forth, we have opinions, we have fun, we get heated, we have conversations, we got the Wussah Wednesday, we got the mana, we got the what the frig Friday, we got all this stuff. It's supposed to be fun at the end of the day. No one's always going to agree with my takes. My opinions. They're not. And that's okay. That's okay. I have no problem with that. None. I don't take offense to it. But the problem I have is we are so quick to crucify people. We are so quick to try to cancel them out and make a mountain out of a molehole. And it's just like, stop enough. Back up. There are greater tragedies in the world. Whatever your belief is, whatever side of the fence you are, you don't like Trump, you don't support Trump. But again, if a quarterback came out and they did this and it was Biden, if it was Obama, is there the same uproar? But nobody wants to have the conversation. Little taboo, a little touchy-touchy. Don't go down the rabbit hole. You guys opened it up with the nonsense. Okay. You guys opened it up. And again, the hypocrisy, it's appalling. It is. Again, hello. Did Saquon had to have any issues when, oh, by the way, I think he played golf with the POTUS? Went to the White House? Where's the uproar there? Did they cancel Saquon Barkley? Did you stop buying Saquon Barkley's jerseys? No. Football cards? No. Stop going to games? No. The double standard is off the charts. It's off the charts. Period. It's off the charts. It's off the charts. Because ultimately, and again, whatever your political belief is, you have a president. We have a president in this country that happens to be the most polarizing president ever. Ever. It's not even up for discussion. It's not even up for debate. So you're going to get those staunch supporters, and then you're going to get the antides that, oh my God, get this guy the frig out of office. But as I said, you know, everyone's in an uproar, but I don't hear anyone, the woke meeting Josh Jacobs, who again, domestic violence, strangulation, criminal damage, disorderly conduct, intimidation of a victim. But we don't want to talk about that. We don't want to talk about that. You know, the New York media has to go after Jackson Dart. Just stop. Stop, stop, stop. I want to just be able to like, this is the one reason I can't, and I have to do it because of my job. Like, social media is a cesspool. It's a cesspool. It is a cesspool. And like, if if if there was no social, if there was no Facebook, if there was no Instagram, if there is no X, no one's talking about this stuff. Remember back in the day, you used to go and get the newspaper and have a nice little cup of coffee, or you know, you dial on sports phone for the update. Look, the reason I bring it up is because you guys know I always have an opinion on something, but I also wanted to present my argument per se for those that were coming at me over the last couple of days, and they're not even given an opportunity to really kind of speak my mind because it was a lot of uh nastiness, to be quite honest with you. And like I said, I got thick skin. You can throw whatever you want at me, it's not going to bother me. But I also have the right to also express my opinion. And I think sometimes there's such a level of hypocrisy. At the end of the day, on a Sunday, when you're watching the Giants, no one's watching the Giants and I can't believe this kid introduced the president of the United States. If Carter goes out and has three sacks against Eagles, no one's going to sit there and say, I can't believe he made his teammate apologize for introducing. No one cares. It's wins and losses. That's all it is. It's wins and losses. It's wins and losses. That's all we care about. All right, we'll get to your comments on the other side. See a lot of them coming in. Um, you know, I I wanted that story for the what the frig Friday for tomorrow. I got it, I got a reserver for tomorrow. But we got game six tonight, Western Conference Finals. You got Adam Silver tanking, you got MLB, thinking of the hard cap. You got the flipping, you got the flopping, you got the dart, you got the uh POTUS, you got Carter, you got all the stuff going on in this uh Thursday edition of OnQ. Keep it locked in. Quick timeout, hashtag on Q to get in on the conversation. We'll come back on the other side and we will rip through all of these comments. I promise, good, bad, or indifferent. Even the ones that are trolling me, which I always enjoy. I call those the uh faceless, the egless, um uh little uh what are they called? Uh the logos, if you will, on the YouTube channel. All right, quick timeout. All right, for what do we got? Four thirty on a Thursday edition on Q. Don't forget, you can catch me on Rumble Kicks Millions. SR 1029 FM The Game, part of the Odyssey family. You can also catch me Monday and Friday, Destin FM, with the uh morning updates. Also, the long form scoreboard show. Just uh download the free mobile app, Destin FM. All right, get social, very easy to do. Average Q on Q. And of course, on TikTok, average Q on Mike. I I got a lot of comments with the flipping and the flopping, by the way. I gotta, I gotta, I gotta share some of these with you guys. I mean, the Spurs fans, I am so disappointed. I did not think you were a sensitive bunch. But yeah, what do we got here? Uh D Chimes and say the you know what for SGA without the free throws. He only scored 15. Umt-Man says, Cooked Castle is blaming the refs. Once you start making excuses in the pressers, it's over, Q. Uh Sean says Wemby was disgusted with the officiating. Can't blame him. Uh boy Gimme chimes in. Wemby is an all-time great spur. They put all their eggs in one basket. He's still young, he's inexperienced. I think he's going to only get better. But again, to your point, I think there's been a lot of blowback that's unnecessary. All right. Uh Vado chimes in. You all go from saying Wemby is the next LeBron to saying he's a flop every other game. And then uh Ackerman says, why not interview the refs? And T chimes in. Maybe he's human and didn't want to talk to media after a bad game. See, those are the funny things that I kind of laugh at sometimes because that's not even the case. It's mandatory. Like again, you can't. You just can't have it both ways. That's all I'm saying. Can't have it both ways. You score 30, you're smiling, go out there. All right, let's see. What do the people have to say on this day? Uh 2008 was the toughest Western conference in NBA history, maybe the toughest conference bracket ever. 2008. So what do we had in here? We had uh Lakers, right? 2008. The Spurs, the Jazz, the Rockets. Who else was a good show? A good show. Uh, a good team. Pelicans? Were the Pelicans good that year? 2000. Yeah, I mean, you you're you're also missing out on what we saw in the 80s with the Western Conference, right? Some really good teams. Some really good teams back in the day. Now, the structure was different because if you remember, if you go back to like say 80, 80, 81, remember Milwaukee was actually a had him in the West, which is crazy. But there were some damn good teams. Really good teams. The alignment, Seattle won 58 games, Phoenix won 55, Lakers won 60. Good teams, 2008, 2009. Don't get me wrong. Don't get me wrong. But I I can't I can't tell you that the NBA, or it's it's drifted off. Like that was the year that the Celtics, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't the Celtics beat the Lakers in six games, right? That was um the uh they they went out and they got uh Garnett with the anything is possible, Ray Allen, right? They were 66 and 16, 2007, eight season, if you will, man. You'll I know you'll pull it up for me. I know I know you'll pull it up. Uh DB says, I agree with you. I have a huge problem with the team making him address the team in the locker room. Uh, it's like racism. The more you talk about it, the worse it's gas. I'm not gonna go that far, DB. My whole thing is why should the kid have to address it? That's kind of my point. Like, are players uh are are they that sensitive to certain things? Like, your belief is your belief. Is it not? I mean, your belief is your belief, and you shouldn't force feed it on other people. But I I just think, and and then the one player that had a problem with it wasn't present for the team meeting. I'm not gonna, and again, I am not going to sit there and say, um, you know, there's a reason for that. Apparently, it was family obligations, religious holiday. So then, to me, the other question you would have is why even have the meeting then if Carter's not gonna be present when he's the catalyst behind us because he tweeted out what he did. Now, here's ultimately is Kevin Chimes in Q. I think you're really blowing this out of proportion. I'm not, I'm gonna tell you why. You should know this as a giant fan. One of the topics you got to have in that meeting is keep it in-house. Keep it in-house. And again, it tells me you're not keeping stuff in-house, and it would make more sense. Let's wait for the guy whose decision to air out the friggin' dirty laundry, i.e., Abdul Carter, is available to also be part of this meeting, a team meeting. That again, that is kind of like a uh, what are we doing? And I'm sure he would have said something if he if if he's mad enough to tweet about it, you better be mad enough to say it to someone's face. So again, you know, they can say move on, resolved. Maybe that's the case. But it would have been nice if you had one of your key players who decided to air out the stinky laundry there. If they say move on, you move on, and then ultimately come September. If they win, it's never going to be a problem. It's when you start to lose, it's a problem. Can't even escape by going to my sports anymore. It's damn frustrating. It's not the sports that's frustrating. It's not the sports. We love watching the sports, but what happens is we are saturated now. We are saturated with content and show. I can't watch. I refuse to put on the TV in the morning. I listen to the radio. I listen to the radio. I won't watch these shows, especially on ESPN. I just can't do it anymore. I remember as a kid, I used to love watching SportsCenter. You know, PTI I still like. You know, I'll DVR it, I'll watch it, even though they're two older grumpy guys and Wilbon and Korheinzer, and I don't always agree with what they say. Around the horn, I used to like. You know, there's some show I just can't get into it because that's ruining my sports watching experience. Not the games itself. But we're bleeding in, we're we're we're cutting the the the you know, the cut is so deep that all of a sudden the blood's seeping out and it's bleeding into, you know, we're watching these games and then you got the backdrop. You always have this angle, that angle, the other angle. The days of just turning on the TV, watching the intro, the pregame, halftime, the game, the post-game, those are done. It's done because everyone has a microphone now. Everyone has a microphone. For better or for worse. Uh I remember back in the day, there were three things you never spoke about in public or dinner, politics, religion, and money. That's how much better the world would be if we did it like that today. I agree. Agree. Remember to Godfather, never discuss family business. But you're right. When when I see certain members of my family, I deviate right away. You know, some of my friends, um, there's a reason, and I'm just being fully transparent, that some of them, I just I'm kind of over it because of what their beliefs are. Now they're entitled to it, but I think sometimes it gets to the point where you know you really start to uncover who you really are, and you're like, wow, like can you be that angry? Can you be that pissed off at the world that your viewpoint is X, Y, and Z? I mean, I I I watched that clip the other day. I listened to, because I grew up on the fan, it's not like it was years ago. It's just not, it's it's not the best radio. It really isn't anymore. Um, but I listened to Boomerse Eisen, the morning show, rip Abdul Carter. Destroyed him. And then he doubled down on it and basically said, Look, if you're real men, you don't tweet about it. He's old school. You had that conversation. And he doubled up again and basically said, you know, look, it could be a problem. It could be a problem, right? Because you tweet it, then you delete it, then you say, don't push the narrative, but yet you tweeted it, deleted it. Guess what? People are gonna question that. That's why you never go on social right away and hit send. Too emotional, like an email. You got to calm down, right? It's like the drunk text to the girl that broke up with you. After 16 of them, stop. Right? It's like that. The most awkward scene ever. One of the most awkward scenes ever in the movies was the scene, uh, the scene in Swingers. When beautiful Michael, uh Mikey gets the girl's phone number at the bar, and they tell him, wait a couple days, man. And what does he do? As soon as he goes home, he calls, leaves a message, calls, leaves a message, waits 10 seconds, calls again, another message, another message by the last message. He never went out with this girl before. Just met her at the bar, got her phone number after 10 minutes. The last message, he's like, I don't think, Nikki, I don't think this is gonna work. Like seven, eight, nine call. It was the most awkward, cringe word. It's a great scene in an unbelievable movie. But point is sometimes enough is enough. You gotta you gotta have a little resolve, a little restraint, you gotta back off. He wasn't able to do that. And that's kind of again, you know, what a guy like a size isn't saying, don't tweet it and then backtrack and then push it back. Like, you gotta have a little resolve. You gotta think it through a little bit. You have to think it through a little bit. But if people are so up in arms because an athlete introduced the president, there's a problem with that. Like, there's more deeper dive, you know, into the to the anger. That's what I'm saying. It's one of the reasons that I steer clear of certain people because I don't like that. And when I listen to a guy like Boomer, who was so fired up, okay, that's one thing. But then you turn around and you listen to the clip of the kid that's on Levitard or the guy, the grown man, Mike Ryan, who's on Levitard show. And and obviously, this kid is a passionate, passionate host, right? He's got a very strong view and a very strong opinion. Um, and obviously, Boomer Sizen is a Trump guy, he's a Trump supporter. But Ryan, when you listen to the clip, I mean, not even angry. You know, when someone's passionate about something, you can tell, hey, they're passionate. I can appreciate that, right? This was not passion, this was like utter hate. And to me, that's scary to have behind the microphone. That that that's all I'm saying. When you start to turn beat red, and you literally the hate is seeping out of you, that's when you got to take a step back, man. Like seriously. Like freaking relax, calm down. Like take a vacation. Go, go, go buy a dog, go, go find God, find Jesus, go to church, something. You can't be that. I don't even know what the word is. It's like scary if you think about it, that that people act like that when you get into these subjects and topics. It's not regular sports debate and or banter. It's not. It's like this will it's it's it's just venom. It's like, man, you got you, you can see the hate seeping out of somebody's eyes, coming out of their mouth, into their microphone, through the platform. It's like, whoa, I don't want anything to do with that kind of stuff. I don't. I really don't. And I get it. There is a sense of hypocrisy that we're seeing, right? Because if you remember, Boomer Sizen had the conversation he had to take on one of the Olympians, Hunter Hess, right? You know, conflicted about representing the U.S. And he argued, you know, piped down, respect everything that's going on. Hey, that's just that's just athletes, that's this person's opinion. You can love the country, but not like what the country is right now. That doesn't make you an American. You can be a supporter of the president, that doesn't make you an American. You cannot be a supporter of the president, that doesn't make you an American. But man, I'm telling you, sometimes the power of the microphone, it can be scary. It can really be scary because there's a difference between having hate and an opinion and being passionate about an opinion. Abraham Lincoln, most polarizing, I believe. Ooh. Yeah, Lincoln definitely. And Nixon, you gotta throw Nixon in there. Clinton, right? I did not have relations with that woman. You gotta throw Clinton in there, and then obviously Trump, do you not? 2008, you like that impression? Every team had 50 plus wins. Nice little nugget. For all we know, Dart may have wanted to have a meeting. You're right. You're 100% correct. You're right, and we have no idea the context of the meeting. You are, again, two for two. That's where I believe the meeting was, though. Keeping things in house. I really do. You never want to air dirty laundry. You don't, it's nobody's business. But again, it goes to having the ability to go on social media. And once you're on social media, what happens? You can kind of tweet whatever you want, right? I didn't did I skip a comment? Where did I skip? Where did I skip? What are we talking about? What what did I skip? What comment did I skip? 2008 was the toughest Western conference NBA history, maybe the toughest conference bracket era ever. Okay. Where where where what did I DK? It's so annoying. I don't think DK is annoying. DB is annoying. I didn't skip that. 2008. I just read it. Every team had friggin' 50 wins. What are we doing? What are we doing? And I was gonna say, do not skip the previous car. I'm I'm not, I'm not, there's no skipping. There's none. None. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, DB. Nomad. That you know what? It's not, it's not madman anymore. It's not X-Madman. It's nomad. That's exactly correct. Like a nomad, just walk in the desert. What is it? Q addressed yours verbally, saying that you would come up with the numbers. Thank you. See, DB is on it. He's like a de facto producer. He's got my eyes and my ears. What do we got there? Throwing the baby out with the bathwater? What do we got? Baby and broccoli? I don't know what the hell that is. I have no idea what that represents. Uh Sarge chimes in Q. You're absolutely correct. There's a difference between hate and the voice and passion. There is. There is a big time difference. There's a big time difference. Oh, Spurs 6 chimes in Q. I was one of those quote clowns that troll you on social media the other day. You do need to man up. You know the Spurs are going to win it tonight. There's no manning up. There's zero manning up. I'm not going to man up on a friggin' Thursday. I'm not man. That's a good one. It looks like a baby in the woods. I'm not going to man up on a Thursday. I think the Spurs are cooked. This is not reverse mush. I really think they're done. If you got to rely on the refs to bail you out, you're in trouble. You're in trouble. And here's the other thing. You know, the Kit Castle, really nice player, turns the ball over way too friggin' much. Way too much. OG Chimes and Q. Did you see that the one player did not vote Jalen Brunson? What are we talking? Oh, you're talking about Jalen Brunson All NBA. Yeah, Kevin O'Connor was the only member media out of 100 who didn't vote Jalen Brunson all NBA. I listen, you guys get very bent out of shape when it comes to that. I would be more aggravated when you start talking about the Hall of Fame and guys who don't even get a sniff that you know should get a sniff, and the writers are out there just trying to screw them. That is a problem. Like not putting the hoodie in. Why? Because they want to spite him. There's a problem with that. That's all. There's a problem with that. And a lot of these writers, they believe they are bigger than the sport. That's an issue. That is an issue. And they have an agenda. They have an agenda big time. Melly Mel, Dodgers fan chimes in Q. What do you think of this proposed salary cap and the salary floor? So MLB proposes a salary cap of 245.3 million salary floor of 171.2. That would be the first salary cap since 1994. And I'll tell you right now, it's never going to fly. I said it in 2006, seven, 20 years later, I stand behind it. The toughest union in sports is MLB, the Players Association, the Players Union. They won't allow this, won't pass to players union. But this is almost an NFL salary cap with half the amount of players on the roster. So yeah, enjoy it because we know next season there's going to be a work stoppage. There's going to be a strike. We know that. Everyone knows it. It's the worst kept secret. It's the worst kept secret. But it's not the players. The players union will never allow this. The players union is as strong as out of all the major sports. MLB, PA, Players Association, you can't punch a hole through it. They're way too strong. Way, way, way too strong. It'll never fly. Move on. You know, just enjoy what we're seeing right now in baseball. Enjoy what we're seeing right now because that's pretty much it. Uh let me see. Uh LJ chimes in Q. I know you always talk about this, but let's just be honest. There are certain athletes that need to sound off, but there's other athletes that need to stay out of politics. And I think Boomer Sizen is one of them. Okay. Again, entitled to your opinion. And that's fine. That's fine. Tajali chimes in Q. I appreciate your opinion all the time and your transparency. I think you're a good dude. I think you're a little off base. And I know you didn't say this, but this is what I think of Boomer. So hear me out. Another white man trying to tell a black man how he should behave. Jackson Dark can openly support the monster, but sending a tweet is where we draw the line. Make it make sense, Keel. Again, appreciate it in the kind words. That's on a size. And I appreciate what you're saying. And I respect what you're saying. I would say it if Abdul Carter was white, green, black, yellow, blue. Like, keep it in-house. I can't speak for a boomer size and I don't know what he's thinking. We know for a fact he's a Trump guy. He's a Trump supporter. We know for a fact he is the, you know, he is the voice of uh, you know, the shut up and play, shut up and dribble, shut up and just go out there. Like that's who he is. We know that. He's he's had comments like that in the past. So I don't think it's, you know, a white guy in Boomer telling a black athlete and dual carter how to behave. I think what he's saying is former NFL player, quarterback, went to the Super Bowl, NFL MVP, just got elected into the Radio Hall of Fame, nominated or inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. He's been doing this for 30-something years. He's got connections, he knows the NFL, he played at a high level. He understands the dynamic of a locker room. And I think that's what he's speaking on. I don't think it's a black or white issue. That's just me. That's my opinion. Um and if you guys think, okay, now this is who he really is, and now the gig is up, okay, fine. That's fine. Benjamin chimes in Q. I actually appreciate your thoughts and I appreciate what you've been talking about the last couple days, but the bottom line is boomer size and is a jerk off. Okay. Listen, everyone's got the opinion. Everyone's got the opinion. I think it's a former athlete talking about the dynamic inside the locker room. And, you know, I also know this. I maybe I'm in a fantasy world, but real life's not Twitter. It's not social media. It's like you go on social media and you look at what's going on, and um you think that's real life. Let me address nomad for a second. Look between the Abraham Comment at the 50 win. I did. I did. 2008, every team at 50 plus wins. Am I missing something? Do I have to scroll up a little more? I it's exactly I went through all of them. You're funny. 2008 was the toughest Western conference in NBA history, maybe the toughest. I went through all of them. But what I was saying, you go through the April. Uh let me see. I only listen to Q and Mike Francesa. Wow, that's high praise. Thank you. You put me right up there with the Pope. Maybe I should have a Diet Coke instead of fresh roasted coffee. Wow, that's very uh very flattered. Thank you. I'm very humbled by that. You have free reign now going forward, DB. How is it possible Mike Brown didn't win Coach of the Year? Um, I think well, you gotta look at the circumstance, right? You gotta look at the circumstance. And you're talking about a Boston team that didn't have Tatum for how many games? And they were still the two seed, right? The two three seed, three-seed Boston was. He's a very good coach. Boston was a two-seed. They won 56 games. Uh, Brown, listen, he had a hell of a year coaching. And by the way, let me say this. I was not, as you guys know, I was not a fan of the Knicks going out and getting Mike Brown. But I also knew they had to fire Tom Thibodeau after they collapsed in game one against Indiana. There was absolutely no way they could have brought Tibbs back at all. Right? Uh Chuck Chimes and Q, you know I love the giant talk. Major blow for all the people who let politics ruin and run their life. Shock to no one who refuses to participate in quote, political tribalism. As I said for days, this was never going to be an issue, Q. Um, we should hope. I mean, you know, hardballs, uh taking over the reins, trying to um change the culture, right? Of that lacquering. But it's all about wins. That's it. It's it's all about wins and losses. That's all anyone cares about. That's it. It's all anyone cares about. I remember, and again, I know it's apples and oranges, and if I'm repeating myself, which I do, I apologize, right? Um, what are we talking about? What if do me a favor? Reset. Can you resend the comment? And let me see if it popped. I try to appease everyone. You know how many comments come in and then on X and then on TikTok, and I try to get through them. This nonsense has been going on since Angel was blushing while reading my stripper joke. I went through all the comments. I went through all the comments, and I apologize if you think you're being overlooked. Now, the ghost of Luca Brazzi and the Bunker Boys, because they haven't shown up in weeks, I would totally dismiss them quickly. So, what I was gonna say is I remember when Michael Vick uh was arrested for the dog fighting and you know uh went to jail, you know, did his time and all this and tried to make amends. And there was the talk, the buzz that the Philadelphia Eagles were gonna sign Michael Vick. And I took call after call after call after call after call about Michael Vick and Eagles fans, they will never watch the NFL again. They will never watch the Philadelphia Eagles. They will never never and what happens? He goes out there, please a couple passes, runs for a touchdown, throws a couple passes to Deshaun Jackson, and guess what? All's forgiven. It's all about wins and losses. Uh Adam Chimes and Q. Uh, you gotta give me your thoughts on Murray and McCarthy. I thought it was a hilarious soundbite. Yes, so I don't know if you guys saw this. So Kyle Murray was asked about, and I don't know if it was cut a certain way, edited a certain way. At first I thought it was AI, to be quite honest. Kyle Murray was asked about, you know, the quarterback competition, JJ McCarthy, how you handle it. And he's like, hey, you know, I've been around the block six, seven, eight years, try to mentor, be there, ask questions, you know, and and support. And JJ McCarthy basically had the complete opposite of that answer. You know, I I think he he he used the uh example of when you're sitting with a kid in class, you know, and that's pretty much it. You're sitting to you're sitting next to a kid in your class. That's it. Like, totally kind of dismissed the thought of Kyler Murray. Um, you know, you know, no awkwardness over the QB competition, right? And Murray says that his relationship's going great with JJ McCarthy. Now, JJ McCarthy got gassed up by Hallball. It's the only reason that Minnesota drafted him so friggin' high, but the kid hasn't left dip to it. He hasn't lived up to the to the billing. I think Kyler Murray is going to be your week one starter. I'll say it right now. I don't see how in the world he allows JJ McCarthy to beat him out. I just don't. But that'll be a funny storyline going forward if you're a Vikings fan. Because everything imploded with the Vikings last year. Everything. And look, I know you know the Harbaugh or the Michigan men, the Michigan guys, here we go. You might not like what Kyler Murray said, but hey man, it's a lot better than what JJ McCarthy said and didn't say or should have said. Like that's your perfect time to sit there knowing the camera's on you. OTAs. We need a story. We need a headline. We got to get something out there. Lie. Like seriously. Lie. Turn around and say, hey, it's a great working relationship. He's a veteran. I can learn a lot. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. No. Not at all. Not at all. Uh Adrian chimes in. Q, you got to give it up. Allow Boomer to keep doing what he's saying. He's spot on regarding this dumbass Carter. I mean, no one's calling him a dumbass. Come on, guys. Relax. So Aaron Rodgers uh shaved his head. OTAs getting set. Locked in. New haircut. Locked in with the Steelers. How bad are the Steelers going to be this season? Like, if I were to ask you right now, it's May, late May. So we're getting through OTAs. Summer, dog days of summer. Training camp right around the corner. Here we go. I think the Steelers are going to be a bad football team. I think the Jets are going to be a bad football team. I really do. You know, Arizona, I don't know what the hell they're doing. I have no idea what the hell Arizona's doing. They're they're what were they three and fourteen? Do they have any idea who's going to be under center for them? Any idea? They got issues with Brissett, once get paid. But yeah, Pittsburgh's going to stink. If A-Rod was on the Seahawks last year, do they win the Super Bowl? No. Rogers is shot. Yeah, you still got to get the ball down the field. He can't do that anymore. I mean, you you know better than that. You know better than to comment at. No, he's done. He can't play the position anymore. He can't play it at a high level. And I'm not comparing. But don't start bringing in slinging Sammy Darnold, who's a Super Bowl champion, by the way. Darnold threw the football down the field. Aaron Rodgers can't do that anymore. He can't. And I can't trust Aaron Rodgers to stay upright for 17 weeks. Baltimore's going to be good. Cleveland is not going to be good, but they're going to give Pittsburgh fits because that's a rivalry. And Cincinnati should be better. The only reason Pittsburgh wins is I told you because Harbaugh decides to not run it a couple more inches yards with Derrick Henry and give that field goal kicker an opportunity for a chip shot. That's the only reason Pittsburgh gets into the playoffs and they win a division. No, I don't think Aaron Rodgers has any gas left in the tank. I don't, and I've been saying it for the last several years. I honestly, he's a Hall of Fame quarterback. He's going to roller skate into the Hall of Fame, but I just don't see Aaron Rodgers, who put up modest numbers. Yeah. Yeah. But he also got sacked a lot. And he got sacked in spurts. He got sacked 30-something odd times last season. He was banged up towards the end of the season. And you can tell. No, I just don't, I don't believe, even on a team like Seattle, that at times could have been run heavy. Aaron Rodgers couldn't even crack 150 yards in the AFC wildcard game. He looked old. He got sacked four times. He was horrible. I mean, that's one of the reasons I thought he was going to come back. He's not going to go out like that. It might be worse this season. Steelers 6-7 wins. Interesting that comment was read immediately. I went through, and again, all I'm asking you to do is just copy and paste and resend the comment. And then we can discuss, like gentlemen, we don't need to put it out there on social media, madman. We can discuss it as gentlemen. Your comment. Beyond a shell of himself. Beyond the shell of himself. Just not that guy anymore. And he hasn't been for years. He just has not been for years. Uh Q, did you see your boy Greenberg said watching SGA can be agonizing? Yeah, well, I'm sure people think the same thing when they watch him in the morning on ESPN. You know, the only people that don't like SGA are those that are not fans of OKC and The Thunder. Like, I don't hear Sixers fans complaining when Embiid was flopping all over the place. Or for years, Rockets fans talking about James Harden flopping. Or LeBron with the Lakers and the Cavs and Miami flopping. I mean, where are you guys? Nick fans with Brunson flopping. And he does. And he pushes off and he flops. He does. I mean, come on. Nick Times and Q. I'm so glad you're actually being very transparent. And I'm very surprised, but pleasantly surprised, you're being absolutely magnanimous and humble when you're talking about Jackson Dart and also Abdul Carter. I think you brought in a couple of very good points, some valid points. I understand everyone hangs their hat, different side of the fence. I totally get it. But I have to ask you, man up on this one. Did you hear what Michael Kay said? Um no, I didn't. So you can send me it. I'm gonna assume he probably had a problem with Jackson Dart, right? Because Michael K is very angry. He has been angry for years. And I remember years ago, someone called him a lib and he went nuts. I mean, he went off. Some of these guys are just they're just angry at this point of their careers, and they got nothing else to hang their hat on. They got nothing else. Uh Joe D South Philly chimes in. Uh Q and B didn't flop that much, laugh out loud. But Q, honestly, who do you rather play? The Spurs or the Thunder? I mean, you know, back me in a corner. If the Thunder win, that's who they have to play. I I can't, listen, I can't, um it's hard to sit there and say who would you rather play? Like matchup-wise, yeah, as much as I've been anti against you guys regarding the flipping, the flopping, I don't want a series to come down with the Knicks and SGA get the calls. But I'd have to deal with it. And the Knicks just have to be the better team. And Wemby is a great player, and they've got depth. Like both those teams are outstanding basketball teams. They're very good basketball teams. There's a reason they're the last two standing in the Western Conference Finals. If the Spurs can push OKC to seven and win it, I think the Knicks will be a slight favorite. OKC closes it out today. They're going to be the prohibitive favorite because they're the defending NBA champs. And matchups are everything. Like in this series, the first matchup that comes to mind is okay, SGA, Kat, Kat, Wemby. You know, my fear with this series, no matter who they play, is Kat gets in early foul trouble and you take him off the floor, and he's been brilliant. And again, hand to God, you guys know this. I'm not the biggest cat fan, but he's changed his game. And he's looked to distribute, to rebound, rim protector, and then secondary score. Like to me, I think the most important piece uh of the Knicks is not only um Kat, but but Robinson on the floor. Like, we know Brunson is the X factor, right? But Kat, you know, Robinson comes on the floor and gives them that energy, rim protector, the allubes plays both floors, uh both ends in a floor. So unsung. So underrated. But I think Kat is the biggest X factor. And I think people are kind of underrating just how important Carl Anthony Towns is in this NBA Finals. Yeah, you've got OG, you've got Hart, you've got, you know, the Brunson Burner. You've got the closure. You got Jalen ariding 20-something. He can go off for 35-40. We've seen it over the last several years. Phenomenal player. Phenomenal player. Phenomenal player. But also, you know, let's not dismiss what Carl Anthony Towns is doing and has been doing the last month of the season. He's playing some of the best basketball of his career because he understands his role. He's buying in to exactly what Mike Brown wants him to buy into. He doesn't need to shoot the ball 15 times a game. He doesn't. You know, if Carl Anthony Towns got his 8-9 rebounds, his 13-14 points, his 6-7 assists, a couple blocks, and stayed out of foul trouble, you're looking at a plus 25 on the floor. The Knicks most likely are winning a basketball game. So it doesn't matter who they play. Rogers, why do you why so you can act like you can't see it? You know what? He is triggered. He is. He is definitely, he is definitely, definitely triggered. And I don't know why. Uh-oh, hold on a second. DB, you have your filtered set to all comments, not Tom com not top comments. Live chat has that setting. Don't say hold on. Shoot, you're right. Hold on. I I'm hold on. Let me again. Let me oh my god, now with the wow. This is this hold on. I'm gonna flip. So I'm gonna go to top chat right now. Top chat. I have still don't see it. Oh my god. Queenie responds. Pick who you would rather play. Queenie equals Q. Eagle greedy. Q still has the Knicks. PTSD. He'll never be comfortable. Okay. Now, let me go to live chat. And I still I don't see it. I'm really not. Let me go to top fans. Let me go here. Hold on. I'm not not I'm not ignoring your comment.
